Authentication
One account across the web app, the desktop app and the extension.
One TimeLet account covers all three surfaces.
Web
Accounts are created on the dashboard with email and password, Google, or GitHub. OAuth identities are attached to the account permanently, so a Google account stays linked after the first sign-in.
Desktop app
The app opens a system browser window to authenticate and receives a TimeLet token on completion. The token is stored locally and attached to every subsequent request. The app never receives or stores your password.
Browser extension
Authenticates against the same account and syncs in the background. It does not require the desktop app to be running.
Multiple machines
Several machines can be signed in at once. Activity is merged into one timeline and attributed by source, so a desktop session never overwrites a laptop session.
