Apps

Which applications are recorded, which are excluded, and how each is categorised.

Apps is where you tell TimeLet what to record and what to call it.

What you can change here

  • Search and sort the application list.
  • Exclude an application, and re-include it later.
  • Add a custom application when detection misses one.
  • Change the category of any application.

The list

What excluding an app does

An excluded application is never recorded. It is not counted as neutral, it does not appear in the timeline, and it does not dilute the productivity score. Exclusion is also the fix for an application you want gone from your history going forward.

Custom applications

A custom entry needs a display name, a category, and the executable it maps to. This is how an internal tool that detection does not recognise gets classified properly.
